Compliance Manager (Head of Compliance)

H2R Consulting and Adminis are working together to locate a new Compliance Manager (Head of Compliance), within their Wellington CBD based head office.

This role reports to the CEO with a dotted line to the directors of the Adminis DBG and requires working closely with senior leadership to provide a cohesive, innovative and collaborative compliance framework and ensuring effective and efficient compliance oversight of the business.

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that  Adminis conduct their business to the highest standard and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The purpose of this role is to oversee the compliance, risk and control framework, address any gaps to support future compliance trends, support implementation of compliance changes and evolve the Adminis approach as the business grows and evolves. This role is part of the Adminis leadership team.

Role (some of your responsibilities):

  • Ownership and oversight of the compliance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations of Adminis. This includes obligations such as AML/CFT, CRS and FATCA obligations, and those arising under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
  • Developing and maintaining Adminis policies and procedures and the managing the day-to-day operation of the compliance program and providing pragmatic compliance advice to the business.
  • Act as Privacy Officer for Adminis, including staff training and leading the response to privacy breaches within the business.
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations and Adminis policies and procedures by
    evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Oversee the handling of
    any violations, including where necessary, the proper reporting of violations or potential
    violations to enforcement agencies.
  • Act as company secretary to the Adminis DBG


  • Appropriate degree qualification and/or appropriate experience in the financial service industry. A tertiary qualification in law is advantageous and/or experience of law, regulation and rules that govern financial markets in New Zealand.
