Are you a skilled Desktop Engineer looking for an exciting contract opportunity in 2025? Join a dynamic project team working on a large-scale technology upgrade across the North Island.

About the Role:

We are seeking x 4 Desktop Engineers to support a major point-of-sale (POS) upgrade project, including a Windows 10 to 11 migration. These roles are contract positions running from February to October 2025, with recruitment taking place in December 2024 and January 2025.

Key Details:  

• Locations:
  • 2 roles based in Auckland
  • 2 roles based in Wellington
• Travel Requirements:
  • One week in your primary location
  • One week travelling across the North Island
• Requirements:
  • Full NZ driver’s licence
  • Strong experience with desktop engineering, including OS migrations and hardware troubleshooting
• Contract Type: Hourly rate contract

What You’ll Do: 

• Support the rollout of a POS upgrade at various sites
• Conduct Windows 10 to 11 upgrades and associated hardware refreshes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop infrastructure
• Provide on-site and remote support to ensure smooth transitions

What We’re Looking For:  

• Proven experience in desktop engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 & 11)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to travel
