This is a great opportunity for a Senior HR Generalist to step into a management position and work collaboratively within a wider HR team to make a lasting impact.

Due to internal promotions, we have an opportunity for an HR Manager to step into on the North Shore. As the HR Manager, you will work closely with the People Partnering Lead and the wider HR team to manage a wide range of HR scenarios from employee relations, collective agreements, leadership coaching and development, workforce planning and development and employee engagement.  You will provide diplomatic solutions to complex matters and also manage a direct report (an HR Advisor). You will be engaging with executives and senior stakeholders to provide proactive HR support and guidance.
  
To excel in this role, you will:

  • Partner with division leaders to develop comprehensive people strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide effective HR business partnership services in line with the organization’s Annual Plan and workforce strategic plan.
  • Acting as a Change Agent to manage change and transformation effectively.
  •  Provide leadership and support to managers on employee contribution and development.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Experience managing HR functions within a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships and influence at all levels.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in ambiguity.
  • High EQ with a strong ability to coach leaders through best HR practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex ER related queries and issues.
  • Experience working in unionized environments is advantageous but not a requirement.
