About the organisation
Save the Children New Zealand (SCNZ) is a long-standing member of Save the Children Association which supports child-focussed operations in more than 120 countries around the world. SCNZ implements a portfolio of development projects across nine countries, and responds to humanitarian events world-wide, working to ensure children are healthy, nourished, protected and learning.
SCNZ is a child safe organisation. About the role
This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a vibrant and energetic professional with a strong background in the management of development and humanitarian programmes for developing countries.  An experienced leader whose passion and determination delivers results, you will guide, support and inspire a small team  by providing them with honest, empathetic and inspirational feedback.  You will play an integral part of the senior leadership team who sets and monitors the strategic direction of the organisation. 
You will bring experience in the not for profit sector, along with a strong track record in managing a development portfolio, and a good eye for harnessing potential areas for growth.  You will be apt at identifying opportunities which enable SCNZ to raise its profile through their communications channels.
You’ll be a skilled project/programme manager, who has a working understanding of funding mechanisms and budgets and in addition is proficient in using project management systems. 

To be successful in this role you’ll have a collaborative approach with a strong focus on building positive working relationships both internally and externally.   You will be confident in communicating accurate updates and identifying and mitigating risks via robust reporting to relevant Committees and the SCNZ Board.
