H2R are exclusively assisting a Wellington based client locate a Performance Reporting Advisor. This is an exciting new position in the organisation ready to be ‘owned’ by the right candidate. 

Who we want:

We are looking for someone with experience in Performance and Reporting, someone who is potentially working and excelling within a team of Performance / Reporting Advisors, however looking to have a role of their own and step up.

Coupled with the above, we want someone who comes with the valuable reporting skills such as experience in SQL and Power BI. These are the tools which are the ‘go-too’ tools of the trade at this organisation. SharePoint knowledge / experience / and interest is important also.

This position has an exciting people side to it. We require someone who is not simply technically skilled, but someone who is a good business partner. You will be forging relationships with various teams, team managers, heads of department, and executives in order to discuss their reporting goals and derive the best way to help. 

More about the role:

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports for the Executive team to ensure the organisation is effectively meeting its goals and is running an efficient organisation.
You will be working alongside our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to ensure quality information is made available to decision-makers drawing insights and making recommendations for improvements.  These insights bridge the gap between raw data and actionable intelligence (to guide effective business actions in alignment with the Council’s mission and strategy.

Ideally you will have:

  • 3 – 5 years’ working in Business Reporting, Analysis or Intelligence functions
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills to translate to multiple audiences
  • Experience in a range of data analysis programs (SQL / EXCEL / POWER BI)
  • Understanding of the machinery of government would be an advantage
  • You must have very good communication skills and ability to naturally build rapport.
