Principal Programme Advisor, Clinical Quality and Safety
  
Contract role – 4 months min – Governance and Reporting Lead on extremely important and meaningful piece of work.

We are currently / urgently looking for a skilled contractor to fill the role of Principal Programme Advisor.  Our client are looking for somebody with Public Sector nous and a drive for results. This role and programme needs an individual with a track record in Governance, Reporting Management.

The Principal Programme Advisor is responsible for managing and co-ordinating governance group agendas, papers, and decision making. Including:

  • Specific Ministers Group (more info provided upon application)
  • External Governance Group
  • Steering Group
  • Specific Implementation Advisory Group (more info provided upon application)
  • Programme Design Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the programme office and operational run teams to ensure accurate and timely information is brought to the appropriate groups for input and decision making
  • Ensure the preparation, collation and distribution of agendas, meeting information packs, minutes and reports and managing subsequent actions for the Programme
  • Ensure that systematic methods of measuring quality and impact are in place
  • Pro-actively support programme leaders to provide specialist support into the business where required
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to a team of professionals.

Ideally you will have:

  • Practical experience with management frameworks, especially in respect to Governance, Reporting Management systems
  • Experience working with complex public sector governance environments and management of decisions and oversight within that context
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and engagement skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Highly organised and able to work efficiently and decisively
  • Previous people management experience
  • Adaptability: able to adjust pragmatically and constructively to changes in work practices, and to deal with competing demands, priorities and a significant amount of ambiguity.
