H2R Consulting are exclusively assisting a Wellington based Government Organisation locate a Reporting & Remuneration Team Lead.

This is a fantastic role for someone with strong leadership and People / Rem Analytics expertise. You will manage a team of 4 analysts, and work closely with other team leaders and managers across the organisation.

The position (in brief):

The Team Leader – Reporting and Remuneration, leads the remuneration function and a team of analysts to provide a high level of reporting and data analytics to the business to support planning and strategic decisions and the information requests required pursuant to legislation and Ministerial requests.

They will provide thought leadership, support and strategic advice to Management.  Key deliverables include working in close collaboration with the Team Leader – Payroll to review, recommend and implement a way forward that improves the People Team’s systems and ability to more effortlessly produce people reports and data analytics.  

This position has an influential role in ensuring the People Team achieves its business objectives and strategic initiatives incorporating new perspectives, anticipating issues and developing solutions.

They will provide technical advice and assistance in support of the development and implementation of initiatives and the preparation and review of papers and reports to the People Leadership Team, and the Board.

Good for you to have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience in a senior role.
  • An excellent understanding of and previous experience with remuneration frameworks and developing remuneration strategy, policy and practice.
  • Current knowledge of HR information and payroll systems.
  • Experience evaluating and reviewing the specific HRIS requirements and objectives of an organisation. 
  • Experience with running or participating in RFI, RFP and /or RFT processes and evaluating vendor and system options.
  • Previous leadership experience and ability to manage others.
  • Knowledge of HR practice and innovation in both the private and public sectors.
  • Excellent understanding of statistical analysis and techniques within People Analytics.
  • Extensive experience in analytics, data and reporting to support strategic business decisions.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
