Mō te tūranga | About the role:
  
Our Finance team is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join their close knit and supportive team.  
  
This position will be responsible for supporting and enabling service and performance improvement by providing analysis and insights to the leadership team and across the Council.  You will also be responsible for providing analysis and insights to the leadership team that enable informed decisions.

The successful candidate will come with excellent stakeholder engagement experience, strong written and verbal communication skills and Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Query and Power BI. 
  
To be considered for this opportunity, you will come with the following attributes:

  • Five or more years’ experience in a Business Intelligence role
  • Three or more years’ experience developing statistical methodologies and monitoring business performance.
  • Strong competency of Tikanga, Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Te Reo Māori would be an advantage.
  • A high level of data extraction, analysis and reporting capability is essential.
  • The ability to present a high level of quality data analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Exposure with SQL and Salesforce environment will be an advantage.
  • This role is a combination of project and BAU requirements.
  • The ability to work confidently and independently within a small team to provide a high level BI expertise in essential.
