About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the design, security, and support of our Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be the go-to expert on Azure architecture, security posture, scalability, performance optimisation, and operational resilience.

Your role will combine hands-on technical leadership with strategic input to ensure the environment is secure, efficient, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and support Azure cloud environments (e.g. Azure SQL databases, VMs, storage, networking, identity services).
  • Implement and uphold cloud security best practices (Azure AD, Intune, RBAC).
  • Build CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with developers for streamlined deployment.
  • Automate cloud operations using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
  • Drive monitoring, logging, backup, DR solutions, and security testing (e.g. pen testing, vulnerability scanning).
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers to deliver projects and ensure reliable operations.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements for efficiency, reliability, and security.

Minimum requirements:

  • IT degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ Azure cloud infrastructure administration experience.
  • Solid understanding of Azure networking, virtual machines, firewalls, DBaaS, Azure AD, MFA, and Intune.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, agile delivery, scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience working across multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.

What We Offer:

  • An outstanding working environment where people and innovation are at the heart of what we do.
  • Generous training budgets and support for certifications to fuel your professional growth.
  • Unlimited flexibility to work from home – but with an office this supportive, friendly and engaging, you might find it hard to stay away for long.
  • The opportunity to shape a modern, secure Azure environment in a senior technical role.
