Permanent Senior Credit Control Position

H2R Consulting are assisting a well known Kiwi business locate a Senior Credit Controller. We are looking for talented, experienced and customer (business) focused practitioners to join the team.

The Credit Control team is made up of 6 + a Team Leader and is running well with a really good collaborative style. We are looking for like minded candidates who want to add their skills and really pitch in.

Being a Senior role, this role requires people who are good at speaking and communicating directly with customers around credit and their business requirements and finances. We would also want you to have good written  / email communication skills.

It is important for you to have a collaborative style as you will be partnering with the Sales team at times to understand our client’s needs to the upmost in order to achieve good results.

Requirements / skills: 

  • Has thorough knowledge of the various credit control debt portfolios, and customer types, and is particularly aware of our ‘Premium Customer’ base. Is responsible for their assigned debt portfolios and the credit control ledger as a whole
  • Has thorough knowledge of the various credit control tasks and functions, is able to complete and has oversight of these functions, e.g. direct debit dishonours, provisions, ‘Customer Never Paid’, ‘Significant increase and decreases’
  • To ensure all billing and debt related queries are resolved in an efficient and professional manner
  • Understands the end-to-end company billing and credit control process, including payment and credit allocations, enabling quality conversations with both internal and external customers
  • Raises concerns and areas of risk with Team Manager Credit Control as identified and required

The role:

The purpose of the Senior Credit Control Specialist is to drive the Credit Control process within the organisation. This is achieved through proactive and professional pursuit of payment for overdue invoices on customer accounts, with any disputes preventing this identified, understood, and resolved, and where required payment plans negotiated.
A vital part of the process requires a strong relationship with internal account teams, as this is the key in working to resolve disputes and receive payment of invoices. We also have an outsourced off-shore team this role interacts with and supports as required, as well as working closely with the Customer Billing team to meet our key objectives and targets.  
The Senior Credit Control Specialist is to support the Team Manager Credit Control and Team, to provide an outstanding delivery of service to customers, both internal and external.
