Our client is a leading player in the packaging industry, and we are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join their team in Auckland!  As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing key client accounts, with a primary focus on creating significant partnerships within the Dairy industry. You will work closely with six Key Account Managers and report into the National Sales Manager in New Zealand.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and preferred approach.
  • Establish regular check ins with clients to ensure continuation of the sales pipeline, client retention and growth of wallet share.
  • Manage various projects simultaneously which are focused on sustainable packaging.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other systems to track progress and manage internal project management effectively.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering their technical knowledge and capabilities.

Who you will be:

The ideal candidate will possess a structured approach, analytical prowess, and great commercial acumen. Experience and a background working in manufacturing and knowledge of the Dairy industry is highly desirable.

Our ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

  • At least 5-6 years working in an Account Management, Sales based and/or client facing role.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage critical time factors.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage relationships across different departments levels and stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen to analyse quotes, costing, and margins effectively.
  • Negotiation skills to leverage opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and senior management, to map out strategic plans and address key gaps.
