H2R Technology are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join a private sector business based here in Central Wellington. They’re looking for a experienced QA Analyst / Tester to help them build their testing maturity. 

In this role, you will work with business SME’s and the project teams to design, execute, and improve testing processes that support high-quality software delivery. This role suits someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys problem-solving, and isn’t afraid to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Skilled in manual testing with some practical experience writing or maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Design, document, and manage test cases and scenarios for business systems covering standard workflows, edge cases, and exploratory testing.
• Defect Management: Azure DevOps (pref) or Jira, ensuring defects are accurately recorded, prioritised, and resolved within agreed sprint timelines.
• Experienced across multiple testing types, including integration, regression, functional, UAT and performance testing.
• Review and validate deliverables provided by external vendors, ensuring they meet agreed standards and specifications.

In addition to the above, we also want someone that is always looking for continuous improvement opportunties:

• Retrospectively look at system documentation and existing test cases for areas of improvement
• Review BA use cases and identify testing vulnerabilities that haven’t been identified
• Explore opportunties for the business to expand into test automation practices. 
• Champion continuous improvement by helping to refine QA processes, frameworks, and testing methodologies across the team.
