The Service Support and Rehousing Navigator, is a newly created position, which will play a critical role in shaping the way TRC support high-needs tenants within the Tāmaki community, supporting them to overcome challenges and thrive in their homes.

About the Opportunity

As the Service Support and Rehousing Navigator, you will be at the forefront, working directly with tenants in the community. Collaborating with Tenancy Managers, Area Managers, and other key stakeholders, you will support tenants by advocating on their behalf and coordinating essential services. In addition to providing subject matter expertise, you will deliver training to the wider team, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to better support families. When required, you will assist with rehousing, ensuring a collaborative and seamless approach.

A key part of your role will be building strong and meaningful relationships with whānau, Māori service providers, NGOs, and government agencies. This is a dynamic and impactful role where no two days are the same. Who You Will Be

  • Experienced: With a background in social services, social work, or community-facing roles. Mental health or public sector experience is highly valued.
  • Passionate about equity: You understand the drivers of inequity and are committed to creating meaningful outcomes for Māori and Pasifika whānau.
  • Resilient and adaptable: Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to define and develop this role as it evolves.
  • Collaborative: Skilled at working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Culturally aware: Knowledgeable about Tikanga Māori and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with experience working in diverse communities.
