H2R Technology is partnering with Volpara Health to recruit a Technical Writer.

Volpara’s mission is to reduce the mortality and cost of breast cancer by providing clinically validated software that underpins personalized, high-quality breast cancer screening.

Volpara’s screening technology enables radiologists to quantify breast tissue with precision and helps technologists produce mammograms with optimal image quality.

Responsibilities: 

The Technical Writer is responsible for production of accurate, clear user documentation to support customers understanding and ability to use Volpara and its range of software working alongside a Senior Technical Writer. 

  • Write, edit, and proofread documents such as user manuals, installation guides, quick-reference materials, release notes, and UX content.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services to translate complex product information into clear, polished, and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with the product and design teams to ensure that materials adhere to organizational style and brand standards for quality, clarity, and inclusiveness.
  • Interview subject matter experts to gather information on product functionality.
  • Evaluate current content delivery methods and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Manage the document review and approval cycle. Maintain document control.
  • Collaborate with translators and assist with maintaining regional document libraries where required 

Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, technical communications, computer science/engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in producing user documentation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a sense of project ownership
  • Ability to accommodate readers of American, Australian, NZ, and UK English
  • Commitment to creative problem solving and getting things done
  • Dedication to advocating for the end user
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong planning and execution skills
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with breast imaging, mammography, and/or medical physics
