We are looking for a Workforce Management Consultant to support a team with optimising shift patterns and rostering solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving operational efficiency through smart scheduling and enjoys working closely with a tight-knit team.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for analysing current staffing rosters for a team of 8 and recommending improved shift patterns that align with operational needs, wellbeing, and business outcomes.

This is a hands-on role that will see you collaborate across departments and guide the implementation of sustainable rostering strategies.

We are looking for someone to start mid-July for one approximately one month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review existing rosters and assess team workload and shift coverage
• Develop and propose fit-for-purpose shift patterns that optimise team capacity and reduce inefficiencies
• Work closely with leadership to ensure shift solutions align with business goals and compliance standards
• Support the transition to new roster systems or processes
• Provide ongoing advice on workforce planning and scheduling best practices

About You:

• Proven experience in workforce planning, rostering, or scheduling
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into practical staffing solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work collaboratively and influence effectively
• Proficiency with rostering tools or workforce management systems is an advantage
• A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
