We’re searching for a standout Talent Acquisition Lead to join one of Auckland’s leading law firms and take full ownership of the recruitment function. If you have strong legal sector experience whether from working in a law firm, as a Legal Executive, or recruiting into legal roles and you know how to engage confidently with lawyers and senior stakeholders, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do 

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across all practice areas and head office roles.
• Own and deliver the firm’s summer clerk and graduate recruitment programs.
• Build strong relationships with universities, law student groups, and external recruitment partners.
• Work closely with Partners, the People & Culture team, and key stakeholders to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored talent solutions.
• Champion employer branding initiatives to position the firm as an employer of choice.
• Provide insights, reporting, and recommendations to support strategic workforce planning.

Who You’ll Be 

You’ll bring experience from within the legal sector this could be legal recruitment, working in a law firm, or a background such as a Legal Executive or Legal Secretary who has transitioned into recruitment. Most importantly, you understand how lawyers work and what great legal talent looks like. 

You’re polished, professional, and confident engaging with Partners and senior stakeholders. You’re relationship-driven, proactive, and strategic, with the experience in managing the full recruitment lifecycle and drive continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments, love connecting people with opportunity, and bring energy, credibility, and strong judgement to everything you do. Experience in leading graduate recruitment and summer clerk programmes is desirable.
