Are you a proactive coordinator that thrives in a busy and changing environment who is able to problem solve on the fly? VTNZ is seeking an organised person with exceptional attention to detail to provide rostering and scheduling support of their driver testing services for a fixed term period through until the end of the year.

The opportunity
The Operational Readiness Support role provides support with scheduling, administration, and operational support of driver testing services.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that supports established processes and operational priorities while longer-term system, automation, and improvement initiatives are progressed. Work is prioritised and allocated by the Operational Readiness Specialist in line with operational objectives. Please note this is a rostered role with shifts starting from 6.30am, Monday – Friday.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage high-volume operational communication channels, including shared inboxes and inbound calls
  • Provide timely and accurate coordination between field teams, support office functions, and external stakeholders
  • Escalate emerging risks, resourcing pressures, and service impacts promptly and appropriately
  • Maintain and update driver testing schedules in line with approved rosters, staff availability, and service requirements
  • Maintain accurate operational data across relevant systems to support reporting and assurance activities, audits, meetings, and operational forums
  • Provide professional, transactional communication and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate information, documentation, and follow-ups for audits, meetings, and operational forums
  • Issue operational notifications to the field, including disruptions, reminders, and updates

What We’re Looking For
You are detail-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. You can manage competing priorities, follow established processes, and deliver accurate outcomes under pressure.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in an operational support, scheduling, coordination, or administration role
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong data entry and system navigation capability
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
