Are you a commercially sharp, relationship‑driven BD expert who thrives in professional services? Keen to use data to shape strategy and guide senior leaders toward smarter decisions? This brand‑new role gives you the chance to take ownership, make an impact, and help shape the future of BD for a growing national firm.
You will be the go‑to person for BD insights, events, proposals, and client growth strategy — ensuring the firm invests time and resources in the right channels and initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Using data and client insights to identify growth opportunities and guide partners on which clients, sectors, and events to prioritise.
  • Analysing client trends, revenue patterns, win/loss data and pipeline activity to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Preparing compelling proposals, pitch documents, capability statements and credentials.
  • Leading and coordinating high‑impact BD events, sponsorships and client engagement activities.
  • Working directly with senior partners to understand their client priorities, challenge assumptions, and influence where best to invest BD time and budget.
  • Bringing discipline, structure and proactive planning to BD activity  ensuring consistent follow‑through and strong ROI.
  • Supporting CRM and data management, ensuring high‑quality information that supports insight‑led BD.
  • Collaborating closely with marketing and the wider BD team to align messaging, campaigns and business priorities.

Who you will be

You’re someone who thrives working alongside senior stakeholders and can confidently advise, influence, and respectfully push back when needed. You’re energised by data  diving into insights, spotting trends, and turning information into meaningful action. You will ideally come from a legal, accounting, medical, or broader professional‑services environment where strong relationship management and navigating senior leaders is part of everyday life. You bring exceptional relationship‑building skills, particularly with senior partners and leaders, and you’re experienced in preparing proposals, pitches, and other client‑facing materials. You’re confident analysing data, using CRM systems, and applying insights to guide decision‑making, and you’re comfortable challenging thinking to ensure the firm invests its time and resources in the right places. You’re an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail, paired with a proactive, collaborative, and down‑to‑earth style that helps you build trust quickly across a wide range of stakeholders.
