About the role
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded Public Sector agency in the Hutt Valley and add value to the company’s payments function.

This role is perfect for someone who is immediately available, has a strong comprehension of transactional accounting and a solid background within the accounts payable space that has a customer orientated approach and loves problem solving.  

This is a temporary employment assignment for up to 6 months with full time, sociable weekday hours. Ideally, you’ll be able to start a new role from mid – April 2026 onwards.  
  
What you’ll be doing
The objective of this role is to collaborate with the Accounts Payable team in processing high volume transactions, analysing invoices and coding purchase orders to support the wider finance function of the organisation.

Ideally, you’ll have the following experience:

• At least 3 years of accounts payables experience
• Comfortable with analysing and processing payments
• Able to liaise with internal and external customers for payment purposes.
• Competent with accounting systems and MS Excel
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to large scale commercial working environments within the accounting space
• Confident in working independently with minimal direction.
