This role is more than just filling vacancies, it’s an opportunity to influence how hiring is done at a strategic level. With increasing demand, hard-to-fill roles, and significant investment in People & Culture, our client is looking for a Talent Partner who can build trusted relationships with leaders, lift hiring capability across the business, and establish strong, future-focused recruitment foundations.

The opportunity

You’ll have the mandate to review, redesign, and improve recruitment processes, reduce reliance on agencies, and build sustainable talent pipelines, while remaining close to the detail and outcomes.

In this role, you also will:
  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from role scoping and attraction through to selection, offer, and onboarding support.
  • Build hiring manager capability through structured tools, interview frameworks, scorecards and practical guidance.
  • Own pre‑employment, visa checks and recruitment compliance, ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and adherence to legislation.
  • Analyse recruitment data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements in cost, time‑to‑fill, and quality.
About you

You will be an experienced Talent Partner who thrives on ownership and accountability, bringing a commercial mindset and a practical, get-it-done approach. You’ll enjoy working closely with leaders, influencing hiring decisions, and delivering great outcomes. You will have strong end to end recruitment experience working within operational environment ( like construction, FMCG or similar), and the confidence to coach and challenge hiring managers when required to uplift hiring and talent planning decisions. You’ll bring a sharp eye for process and data, using insights to streamline recruitment, improve outcomes, and reduce reliance on agencies. You’ll also have experience/exposure to immigration and visa processes, or the ability to build this capability quickly.

Why this role?
  • Newly created role with real ownership and influence
  • Opportunity to build a best‑practice talent function from the ground up
  • Competitive salary package
  • Hybrid working options
  • Auckland‑based role with on‑site parking
