Data Analyst – Payroll & HRIS 

Join a large organisation and support payroll systems integration, reporting, and data-driven decision making. 

• 3-month contract 
• Christchurch (Hornby) location
• Payroll systems integration across multiple entities

Sitting within the People & Culture function, this role supports the Payroll Manager and Remuneration & Rewards Manager, working alongside an established analyst team. You will play a key role in supporting payroll integration, system implementation, and reporting improvements across multiple entities.

This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working across systems, solving complex data challenges, and contributing to a large-scale transformation programme.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the integration of multiple entities into a centralised PayGlobal payroll system
• Assisting with the transition and implementation of TimeFiler time & attendance systems
• Extracting, analysing and interpreting payroll and HR data to support decision-making
• Leading data cleansing, mapping, migration and validation activities across systems
• Supporting PeopleSoft HR to PayGlobal payroll integration, including testing and troubleshooting
• Updating existing reports and developing new reporting outputs
• Contributing to system documentation, SOPs and user guidance
• Supporting training and change initiatives across HR, payroll and the wider business
• Building strong stakeholder relationships across HR, Finance, Digital and operational teams 

About you:
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar payroll/systems-focused role
• Strong experience working with payroll data and systems integration
• Experience with PayGlobal, PeopleSoft and/or TimeFiler is highly desirable
• Strong Excel capability (pivot tables, lookups, data validation)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
• Systems thinker with the ability to understand end-to-end processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment across multiple workstreams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
