We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established organisation on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist role and is looking to work in a supportive, close-knit team.

This is a hands-on role with a strong operational focus, supporting the full employee lifecycle while partnering with managers across the business. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, making this an excellent role for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership.

About the role
You’ll provide operational HR support across a broad range of activities, including:

• Preparing employment agreements, contract variations and HR documentation
• Maintaining employee records and HR systems
• Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment checks
• Providing first-level HR advice and support to managers
• Assisting with employee relations and performance management processes
• Supporting HR projects, process improvements and system enhancements
• Responding to day-to-day HR enquiries across the business

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or Senior HR Coordinator
• A sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation
• Experience across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and HR administration
• Confidence preparing employment documentation and supporting managers with HR queries
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running
• Experience with Employment Hero would be advantageous but is not essential
