Payroll Advisor Contractor – Flexible NZ Location $60–$70 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Advisor contractor to join a high-performing and supportive payroll team during a key systems implementation and transition period.

This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to step into a great, cohesive team environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support are genuinely valued. You’ll play an important role in helping deliver a smooth payroll system rollout while keeping business-as-usual running seamlessly.
About the role: You’ll be joining the team to:

• Support the implementation of ADP / Payforce, with go-live targeted for August
• Assist with system setup, testing, and transition activities
• Process the September pay run in the new system while covering planned leave within the payroll team
• Support post-implementation activities, troubleshooting, and resolving payroll issues
• Help maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and continuity during the transition period

What we’re looking for:

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience
• Experience with ADP and/or Payforce highly advantageous
• Previous involvement in payroll system implementations or migrations
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
