We are looking for an experienced Credit Control professional to step into a hands-on leadership role within a financial services organisation. This is not your typical collections role—it combines team leadership, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and technical ownership of a critical credit control system.

The Opportunity

You’ll lead a small, capable team responsible for managing collections, allocations, and debtor performance, while playing a key role in lifting team capability, strengthening processes, managing core systems and working closely with the finance team. This role sits within a high-performing finance function and offers strong visibility across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a small Credit Control team
  • Managing aged debt, escalations, and complex account queries
  • Driving improvements in credit control processes and documentation
  • Becoming the go-to expert for a key internal system (training provided)
  • Building strong relationships with finance, operations, and external partners
  • Supporting governance, audit, and control requirements
  • Delivering reporting and insights to support decision-making

About You
You’re an experienced Credit Control leader/manager with demonstrated leadership experience. You are a systems-savvy professional who thrives in complex, structured environments and enjoys leading people.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading or managing a team
  • Strong background in credit control, debtor management, or receivables ideally within the financial services industry
  • Confidence managing stakeholders and difficult conversations
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Strong Excel and systems capability
  • A continuous improvement mindset
