We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR Business Partner to join an innovative, growth-focused organisation where you’ll play a key role in partnering with leaders and supporting the business as it continues to evolve. Working as part of a collaborative ANZ People team, you’ll own the New Zealand HR remit while partnering across Australia. This role provides the opportunity to broaden your employment relations expertise, gain valuable trans-Tasman experience, and continue developing your commercial HR capability in a supportive environment.

About the Role
As the Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll provide trusted advice to leaders across the business, supporting both day-to-day people matters and strategic initiatives that have a meaningful impact. You’ll partner with executives and leaders on initiatives such as organisational design, leadership capability, workforce planning, employee relations, and culture. This is far more than a BAU HR role. This is an organisation where you’re be encouraged to bring new ideas, improve ways of working, and provide practical HR solutions that support both people and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to provide commercially focused HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Coach leaders through employee relations matters, performance conversations, investigations, and change.
• Support organisational design and workforce initiatives as the business continues to grow.
• Provide insight and advice across people strategy, culture, and leadership capability.
• Build strong partnerships across New Zealand and Australia.

About You
You’re an HR Business Partner with solid generalist experience gained in a commercial environment. Curious by nature, you enjoy understanding how a business works, building trusted relationships with leaders, and providing practical, people-focused advice that balances commercial outcomes with great employee experiences. You have a sound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation, are confident navigating employee relations, performance, and leadership conversations, and thrive in environments where no two days are the same. You’re someone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, brings fresh ideas, and enjoys finding better ways of doing things. Experience supporting organisational change or organisational design would be an advantage.
