National Operations Manager
The National Operations Manager supports the General Manager Operations to ensure the wider operations support group leaders and team of over 1,000 operational staff deliver safe, profitable, effective and timely business services for VTNZ.
The National Operations Manager is the link between customers and business services at the ground level, ensuring that the highest quality and consistent service is delivered across all business networks at VTNZ sites and with partners.
  
Spanning all aspects of VTNZ business delivery, the National Operations Manager leads all functions to deliver best practice business advice and solutions in;
   

• Operational excellence putting customer at forefront to deliver business outcomes/ success
• Vehicle inspections Quality Assurance and compliance
• Driver testing – scheduling, compliance and customer feedback
• Front counter – compliance, regulatory and audit
• Health and Safety throughout the organisation

      
Taking the lead from the GM Operations, the National Operations Manager manages relationships and leads operational changes identified as part of their role with NZTA to ensure VTNZ has successful strategic and operational partnership to cement their role as primary partner with the Agency.
  
We are looking for a proven senior leader with;
  

• Experience and knowledge managing and leading large operational customer led businesses with a large national branch network
• Demonstrated success in managing high performing teams with a focus on coaching and development
• Ability to work across functional lines and diverse ranges of experience to deliver optimal solutions
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational excellence and business profit
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection and compliance industry or a similar regulated business environment is nice to have but not essential
• Act as an internal consultant and industry liaison.
• Operational management including logistics, budgeting and business planning
