Senior SAP ABAP Developer
 
Initial 12-month hourly rate contract | Flexible hybrid working | Strong extension potential

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join a large, complex organisation supporting business-critical SAP systems.
This is an initial 12-month hourly rate contract with a strong likelihood of extension, offering flexible hybrid working and market-based rates. You’ll join an established SAP environment at an important time, with a major enterprise transformation programme underway.

The role will suit a senior SAP professional who enjoys remaining hands-on technically while also contributing to solution design, integration, troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement.

The role You will be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing SAP applications, with a strong focus on ABAP development and integration.
You’ll work across both project and BAU environments, supporting existing SAP applications while helping ensure systems remain reliable, maintainable and fit for purpose throughout a significant period of change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Hands-on SAP ABAP development, coding and troubleshooting
• Designing and delivering enhancements across SAP applications
• Supporting complex SAP environments across Level 2 and Level 3 issues
• Designing, implementing and troubleshooting SAP PI integrations
• Working across SAP HCM, Payroll, Finance and SRM environments
• Contributing to system and solution design
• Working closely with business stakeholders, vendors and technology teams
• Providing senior technical advice and guidance across complex SAP issues
• Supporting integration with systems including Kronos and SuccessFactors

What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone with significant experience working across SAP environments within a large and complex organisation.
Ideally, you will have:

• Extensive SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong coding, troubleshooting and application support capability
• Excellent SAP PI integration knowledge
• Strong SAP HCM experience, including ESS/MSS, CATS, OM and PA
• Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll, Finance and SRM
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and support
• Proven system and solution design skills
• Experience supporting complex applications through Level 2 and Level 3 support
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with vendors, business teams and wider technology teams

Knowledge of Fiori and BW/4HANA would also be advantageous.
