About the Role
  
This is a four-month temporary Executive Assistant opportunity supporting a senior leader within a large and complex public sector environment. Based in Wellington CBD, you’ll work closely with an executive who relies on trusted, proactive support to help navigate a busy schedule, competing priorities, and a wide range of stakeholder commitments. The role is full-time and office-based, providing the opportunity to be fully immersed in the team and gain exposure to high-level decision-making and organisational activity.
  
What you’ll be doing  

You’ll be the trusted right-hand support to a senior executive, ensuring priorities stay on track and the day-to-day runs smoothly.
  
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex diaries, meetings, travel, and logistics
  • Preparing agendas, briefing materials, papers, and presentations
  • Coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and tracking actions
  • Supporting executive communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Managing sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Monitoring competing priorities and proactively identifying issues
  • Providing broader coordination and administrative support across the business unit

What you’ll bring  

We’re looking for someone who is naturally proactive, highly organised, and comfortable operating in environments where priorities can shift quickly.
  
You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous Executive Assistant experience supporting senior leaders
  • Strong diary, inbox, and meeting management skills
  • Outstanding organisational and prioritisation abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgement and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Confidence building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
