Finance Manager (Contract)

We’re seeking a hands-on, passionate Finance Manager to join a well-regarded organisation on a contract basis. This Wellington-based hybrid role offers flexibility, but a strong office presence is encouraged to support the team and wider business.
Leading a team of three, you’ll be just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are providing strategic leadership. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit above the detail. You’ll thrive on getting into the numbers and taking ownership across both Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Payroll reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 3
• Oversee financial and management reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll reporting
• Partner with stakeholders across the business
• Drive process improvements and reporting excellence

About you:

• Proven Finance Manager experience
• Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
• Passionate, proactive and willing to get your hands dirty
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic and detailed level
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
