We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a large and complex organisation during a period of significant transformation and growth. Supporting a large workforce, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while contributing to ongoing systems and process improvements. This role operates within a multifaceted payroll setting and would suit someone who is confident managing complex payroll processes and interpreting employment-related legislation.

About the Role
Working as part of a collaborative payroll team, you will:

• Process payroll accurately and in accordance with New Zealand payroll legislation and employment agreements.
• Manage payroll queries and support a diverse workforce in a complex payroll environment.
• Contribute to system improvements, projects, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience within a large or complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, including PAYE, KiwiSaver, Holidays Act obligations, and leave calculations.
• The ability to interpret employment agreements and payroll policies.
• Strong systems aptitude; TechnologyOne experience is advantageous.
• A proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality payroll outcomes.
