About the role
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded NZ government agency in Wellington’s vibrant CBD and add value to their wider finance function as an experienced Senior Financial Accountant.

The role offers a varied workload, plenty of interesting stakeholders to engage with, a collaborative team environment and permanent employment job security with flexibility between the home and office.  

The office premises is located near the train station and a short walk from Lambton Quay.
  
What you’ll be doing
As an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, you will be expected to have the following skill set.

• CA or CPA certification
• Able to prepare financial statements and handle general ledger maintenance
• Provide detailed monthly board and statutory reports
• Comfortable with CFIS reporting
• Solid tax compliance and accounting standards knowledge
• Experience with a large FMIS such as Oracle, Technology One or SAP
• Exposure to departmental, crown or ministerial government accounting environments
• Excellent communication skills
