A major public sector transformation programme is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to establish and embed a data governance framework across HR, Payroll and Workforce Management functions.

This is a rare opportunity to join a large-scale enterprise systems modernisation programme replacing legacy platforms with modern, cloud-based solutions. You’ll play a key role in creating the governance foundations that ensure data ownership, accountability, decision-making and stewardship are clearly defined and sustainable long term.

What you’ll be doing

• Establish data governance frameworks, policies and operating models
• Identify and engage stakeholders across multiple business groups
• Define data ownership, stewardship and escalation pathways
• Develop governance forums, terms of reference and decision registers
• Create sustainable governance processes that integrate with BAU operations
• Drive organisation-wide alignment on data-related decisions

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience establishing or maturing data governance practices
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Experience developing governance frameworks, committees and operating models
• Ability to influence across complex enterprise environments
• Knowledge of DAMA frameworks or data management best practice is highly regarded
• SAP experience is beneficial but not essential

• Salary up to $147,000
