About TRC and THA
Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC) and Tāmaki Housing Association (THA) work together to support thriving and connected communities across Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England. TRC leads one of Aotearoa’s largest urban regeneration programmes, while THA provides housing and tenancy services that help tenants and whānau feel secure and well supported in their homes.
Together, they work alongside Mana Whenua, iwi, Pasifika communities, whānau and local partners to create quality housing, strengthen wellbeing and foster a lasting sense of identity and belonging in Tāmaki.

TRC and THA are people-centred, values-led organisations grounded in:

  • Ka Poipoi — caring for and nurturing one another
  • Ka Honohono Tātou — joining and coming together
  • Ka Waihanga Tahi Tātou — reflecting, learning, designing and creating together

The opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a capable and motivated business support professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll join a newly structured team and work with people across TRC and THA to keep important work organised, moving and completed to a high standard.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you’ll support the Chief Advisor to the Chief Executive and work with senior leaders and colleagues across both organisations. The role offers variety, responsibility and room to grow. You’ll coordinate meetings and events, keep track of actions and follow-ups, and help improve the systems and processes the team relies on.

You’ll be trusted with work that requires care, sound judgement and close attention to detail. Some processes are still being established, so you’ll also have the chance to share ideas and influence how processes work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing reliable coordination and administrative support to the Chief Advisor to the Chief Executive and also the CEO.
  • Helping organise governance and management meetings, including papers, minutes, actions and publishing material through Diligent.
  • Arranging meeting logistics such as venues, technology, travel, catering and hosting.
  • Coordinating organisation-wide activities, including Pulse hui, mihi whakatau, celebrations and stakeholder or ministerial visits.
  • Tracking complaints and queries to help ensure actions are completed or escalated.

Who you’ll be
You’re driven, grounded and calm under pressure. You enjoy bringing order to a busy environment, take pride in getting the details right and follow through on your commitments. When priorities compete, you can work out what needs attention first, keep people informed and raise or escalate issues early so they can be addressed before they grow.

You may have developed these skills in business support, office coordination, project administration, customer service, events, operations or a similar role. You notice what needs doing and take the initiative to get started, while using good judgement about when to ask for guidance or bring others in. You’re organised, proactive and keen to keep learning as you take on new responsibilities.

Why TRC and THA
This is an opportunity to grow your experience in a visible and varied role, contribute to a supportive team and be part of work that benefits whānau and communities.
Benefits include:

  • A supportive, inclusive and culturally diverse workplace
  • The opportunity to contribute to generational community impact
  • Five weeks’ annual leave, additional parental leave, wellbeing benefits and medical insurance
