Candidate Manager – H2R Technology

H2R Technology is growing, and we are looking for a Candidate Manager to join our Wellington-based technology recruitment team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, speaking with people, understanding career motivations, and supporting candidates through the recruitment process.

As a Candidate Manager, you will play a key role in connecting with technology professionals across the market. You will work closely with our recruitment consultants to identify, engage and support candidates for contract, permanent and fixed-term opportunities across digital, data, technology, project delivery, change and transformation roles.

This role is all about candidate engagement and care. You will be speaking with people about their experience, career goals, availability, salary or rate expectations, and what type of work they are looking for next. You will help build talent pools, maintain candidate records, support interview preparation, follow up on availability, and ensure candidates have a positive experience with H2R Technology.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and confident communicating with a wide range of people. You may already have recruitment, talent, HR, sales, customer service or coordination experience, but most importantly, you will bring curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in people and technology.

What you will be doing

  • Sourcing and engaging candidates across the technology market.
  • Screening candidates and understanding their skills, experience and motivations.
  • Supporting consultants with candidate shortlisting and market mapping.
  • Building and maintaining strong candidate relationships.
  • Keeping candidate information accurate and up to date in our CRM.
  • Coordinating interviews, availability, feedback and follow-ups.
  • Supporting candidate care throughout the recruitment process.
  • Helping build talent communities across key technology skill areas.

What we are looking for

  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with candidates.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to pick up the phone.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Interest in technology, digital, project delivery or recruitment.
  • Experience in recruitment, HR, sales, customer service or administration would be useful, but is not essential.

At H2R Technology, you will be part of a supportive, high-performing team that works with a wide range of public and private sector clients across Aotearoa. You will gain exposure to the technology recruitment market, learn from experienced consultants, and play an important role in helping candidates find meaningful work.

If you are people-focused, curious, organised and keen to build a career in recruitment, we would love to hear from you.
