H2R Technology is partnering with Site Safe to appoint a Chief Digital Officer, a pivotal executive role sitting at the intersection of strategic leadership, digital transformation and technology enablement. Reporting to the Chief Executive and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this role will work closely with the CEO, ELT and Board to shape digital direction, influence enterprise-wide decision making, and ensure Site Safe’s digital capability supports both current performance and future growth.

Site Safe is a purpose-led not-for-profit committed to building safer and healthier workplaces together. Supporting around 6,000 members across New Zealand’s construction sector, it provides leadership, advocacy, education and practical solutions that make a meaningful difference. This role offers the opportunity to combine executive influence with genuine purpose, helping shape a digital environment that strengthens member experience, business resilience and long-term organisational impact.

This is a strategic executive role that calls for a leader who can combine technical depth, commercial judgement and strong people leadership. You will lead Site Safe’s digital strategy and roadmap, oversee digital platforms and operations, and provide executive sponsorship across key programmes and transformation initiatives. There is a strong emphasis on cybersecurity leadership, ensuring secure, resilient and compliant systems and practices across the organisation. At the same time, you will champion innovation and AI adoption, helping Site Safe use emerging technology in practical, value-led ways that improve productivity, customer outcomes and organisational performance. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to drive platform enhancement, CRM integration, AI enablement and digital optimisation.

What you will bring

• Senior digital, technology or transformation leadership experience at executive or near-executive level
• The ability to partner closely with a CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategy, investment and organisational priorities
• Strong leadership across cybersecurity, risk, resilience and digital governance
• Experience driving AI adoption, innovation and platform-led transformation in a practical, business-aligned way
• The ability to balance strategic direction with oversight of delivery, operations and team performance
• Strong stakeholder, vendor and people leadership capability, with the credibility to influence across the business
