At TRC, communications and marketing are central to building trust and social licence, amplifying community aspirations, and enabling programmes to deliver safe, sustainable housing and opportunities that uplift whānau and strengthen communities.

The Communications & Marketing Manager will lead the strategic direction of TRC and Tāmaki Housing Association’s (THA) MarComms function. You will also lead brand and placemaking storytelling that builds emotional connection to Tāmaki and shifts perceptions of homeownership possibility.

You will lead a high-performing team of three and act as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, providing advice across brand, campaigns, media, internal communications, and issues management. A key focus will be strengthening a connected MarComms function that lifts internal engagement across kaimahi and ensures TRC communicates with clarity, consistency, and cultural integrity. This is the perfect role for a MarComms leader who can balance strategy with delivery, and who is passionate about using communications to reflect community voice, strengthen trust, and enable long-term wellbeing for Tāmaki whānau.

You are comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities, and can translate this into clear, focused communications and decisions.

Above all, you are a steady, adaptable leader who can mobilise teams, influence stakeholders ensuring delivery is effective, aligned and impactful for Tāmaki whānau and communities.
