What you will do:

As a Community Engagement Advisor, you’ll play a key role in empowering the Tāmaki community by driving engagement and building strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. You’ll inform, connect, and inspire individuals through initiatives that promote financial literacy and enhance access to affordable housing opportunities.

Collaborating with Mana Whenua and iwi, you’ll foster trust and partnership, track progress on housing pipelines, and guide residents through homeownership programs. A proactive and results-driven approach will be essential to increase community awareness, gather insights, and deliver impactful outcomes aligned with TRC’s regeneration goals.

What You’ll Bring:

• A deep understanding and respect for Māori and Pacific cultures, customs, and values.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, impactful messages to diverse audiences
• Proven experience in community engagement, including organising events, workshops, and meetings.
• Strong relationship-building skills and adaptability to respond to community feedback and changing priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable mindset.
