Are you an experienced Credit Controller who thrives on building strong relationships, resolving outstanding accounts and ensuring cashflow remains on track? We are seeking a confident and proactive professional to join a well-established professional services organisation in a newly created Auckland-based role.

This is an excellent opportunity to become the key finance representative in Auckland while working closely with a wider finance team and senior stakeholders across the business.

About the Role As Credit Controller, you will take ownership of a diverse debtor portfolio and play a critical role in managing collections, reducing outstanding debt and supporting the overall financial performance of the organisation.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, managing queries, following up outstanding accounts and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner. This role offers a combination of traditional credit control responsibilities alongside broader accounts receivable support when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain an allocated debtor portfolio
• Proactively follow up overdue accounts and outstanding payments
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Resolve payment disputes and account queries efficiently
• Monitor aged receivables and escalate issues where necessary
• Support accounts receivable processes and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records and reporting
• Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to improve collection outcomes

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in Credit Control, Collections or Accounts Receivable
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to have firm but professional conversations
• The ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement
• A proactive and resilient approach to debt recovery
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Experience working within a legal, professional services or partnership environment will be highly regarded.
