We’re looking for a Data Tester who enjoys digging into data, solving problems, and making sure reporting platforms and data products are accurate, reliable, and ready for release. There is an appetite for this person to also assume the release management duties, which they can teach you. 

This role sits within a collaborative product team where you’ll work across testing, data quality, release support, and platform monitoring. You’ll help improve the way data is validated and tracked, build smarter automated testing approaches, and provide visibility of data quality and migration outcomes through dashboards and reporting.

You’ll also play an important role in helping the team continuously improve how it delivers work — from supporting agile practices through to improving release processes and maintaining strong documentation standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Testing data and reporting platform releases
• Investigating and resolving data quality issues
• Building and improving automated reconciliation and validation processes
• Supporting Azure DevOps and release activities
• Monitoring cloud platform usage and data health
• Working closely with Product Managers, developers, and analysts across the team
• Contributing to a collaborative, agile, and continuously improving environment

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in data testing, BI/reporting platforms, or data-focused delivery environments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Azure or Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps practices
• Someone proactive, curious, and comfortable working across both technical and business teams

As this role sits within Central Government there is a requirement to be able to obtain a New Zealand Security Clearance. You must be an NZ Citizen or Perm Resident.
