Enterprise Architect – Lead the Architecture for a large-scale Transformation

  • ASAP Start – Long term contract opportunity until late 2026.
  • Waikato based role with hybrid working (2-3 days in office)
  • Competitive hourly rate!

Ready to bring clarity to complexity? We’re looking for an ICT Enterprise Architect to shape the strategic architecture of a large, high-profile business based in the Waikato.

You’ll define transitional and future-state architectures, ensure technology decisions align with programme goals, and guide delivery teams.  You’ll operate in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment—building influence, driving alignment, and embedding customer-centric design into every solution.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience leading architecture practices and contributing to operating model design within large, complex programmes or major transformations
  • Strong enterprise architecture background—ideally within complex enterprise level environments as a dedicated Enterprise Architect
  • Experience leading and guiding complex architecture business environments to ensure best practice including partnering with senior business stakeholders to steer and influence.
  • Ability to facilitate technical and cross-functional groups
  • Deep knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF)
  • Ability to simplify the complex and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure working with TechnologyOne will be an advantage.

You’ll have a genuine opportunity to shape long-term architectural direction and organisational design.

This role will be well suited to a self-starter who enjoys working within a fast paced, dynamic environment that is undergoing significant business change and transformation.

This role is based in the Waikato with 2-3 days in the office required to ensure connectivity with senior stakeholders and team members.

Our client is ready to recruit this role as a priority – please contact Sharyn Saxby – sharyn.saxby@h2r.co.nz for a confidential discussion.
