We’re partnering with a well-regarded public sector organisation seeking an experienced Executive Support professional to step into a critical temporary assignment while they recruit permanently. This is an opportunity to work closely with the Chief Executive, providing high-level support and helping ensure a busy executive office runs seamlessly.

About the role

Working at the heart of the organisation, you’ll act as a trusted advisor and right-hand support to the Chief Executive, helping manage competing priorities, coordinate key initiatives and create the space for leadership to focus on what matters most. 

You’ll be joining an environment where no two days are quite the same, requiring someone who enjoys variety, works proactively and can confidently navigate competing priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a busy executive office and coordinating complex commitments
  • Monitoring actions, deadlines and organisational priorities
  • Preparing high-quality correspondence, presentations and briefing material
  • Supporting leadership meetings, agendas and follow-up actions
  • Coordinating travel, logistics and executive engagements
  • Building strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying emerging issues and ensuring leaders are well prepared and informed
  • Supporting efficient information management and continuous process improvement

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced Executive Assistant, Executive Support Advisor or Senior Administrator who is comfortable operating at a senior level and thrives on bringing structure, foresight and calm to a busy environment.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Significant experience supporting senior executives, ideally at Chief Executive or Executive Leadership Team level
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Strong judgement, discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience drafting executive-level correspondence
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and changing demands
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working within complex public sector or corporate environments
