The opportunity

We are partnering with a well-respected Wellington organisation to find an experienced Executive Assistant for a six-month temporary assignment, with the potential to extend. This is an EA role supporting a senior executive in a culturally rich environment. The role is primarily office-based in central Wellington, close to the train station with some flexibility available.

 

About the role

Reporting directly to a senior executive, you will provide high-quality, confidential support across a broad range of executive, board and stakeholder functions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Complex diary, travel and correspondence management
  • Coordination of meetings, agendas, board papers and follow-up actions
  • Acting as a key liaison across senior stakeholders, managing communications and prioritising requests
  • Supporting external board commitments, including logistics and documentation
  • Drafting reports, correspondence and presentation materials to a high standard
  • Contributing to organisational priorities and a high-performing, culturally aligned team environment
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
  • EA experience supporting executive-level leaders
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities under pressure
  • Strong written communication skills
  • A high level of discretion, professionalism and sound judgement when handling sensitive information
  • Advanced Microsoft Office/M365 skills and experience with document management systems
  • A proactive, forward-thinking approach — you anticipate needs and take initiative
  • An appreciation of tikanga Māori and a willingness to engage respectfully in te ao Māori
