We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded analyst to join a large and complex organisation on an initial six-month contract. Working closely with Finance and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in enhancing reporting, developing dashboards, analysing workforce and labour cost data, supporting budgeting processes, and contributing to the implementation of new systems and business intelligence tools. This is a hands-on position for someone who is equally comfortable working with data, building stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver insightful reporting, dashboards and analysis for senior leaders.
  • Analyse workforce, payroll and labour cost information to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts and headcount trends, providing commentary on risks, opportunities and variances.
  • Support the transition from manual reporting processes to more automated, scalable reporting solutions.
  • Build and enhance reporting capability through Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
  • Work across Finance, Payroll, HR and operational teams to improve data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the implementation of a new enterprise system and associated reporting frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting efficiency.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A background in Finance, Commercial Analysis, Business Intelligence, FP&A or a similar analytical discipline.
  • Strong experience working with financial, operational or workforce data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
  • The ability to interpret complex data and present clear, practical recommendations.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, labour cost analysis or business performance reporting.
  • A naturally proactive approach and the confidence to work autonomously.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in system implementations, reporting transformations or process improvement initiatives will be highly regarded.

What’s on Offer
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-profile contract role where you can make an immediate impact. You’ll be joining an organisation undergoing significant change and investment in its systems and reporting capability, providing plenty of opportunity to add value from day one.
If you’re a commercially focused analyst who enjoys solving problems, influencing decisions through data, and partnering with stakeholders across the business, we’d love to hear from you.
