Finance & Business Performance Manager 6-month Fixed Term | Porirua | $140k – $165k

A senior, hands-on finance leadership role with real influence.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role leads the finance function and plays a key part in financial performance, statutory reporting, governance, and decision support across the organisation.

You’ll manage a capable finance team, stay close to the detail, and ensure the organisation is well-governed, compliant, and commercially informed.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the finance team (Management Accountant, AR and AP)
• Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and senior leadership
• Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements
• Oversee month-end close and produce clear, insightful Board reporting
• Manage group cashflow, forecasting and treasury activities
• Provide hands-on management and financial accounting support when required
• Back up key Management Accountant functions, including payroll
• Review and authorise GST, FBT and PAYE returns
• Support year-end tax analysis and work with external tax advisers
• Ensure effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong technical capability across financial and management accounting
• Confidence managing audit, tax and compliance obligations
• A practical, people-focused leadership style
• Ability to step in and add value quickly
• CA / CPA (or equivalent) preferred – NOT essential
