About the role
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded NZ government agency in Wellington’s vibrant CBD and add value to their wider finance function and portfolio managers as an experienced Finance Business Partner.

This role is perfectly designed for a highly capable Senior Management Accountant seeking that next stage in their career and obtaining the Finance Business Partner job title and all the complexities that come with it!

The role offers a varied workload, plenty of interesting stakeholders to engage with, a collaborative team environment and permanent employment job security.

The office premises are located in Wellington CBD, a short walk from the train station and close to Lambton Quay’s busy shopping district.

Due to the nature of the business, you must hold NZ Citizenship or NZ permanent residency to be deemed eligible for this opportunity.
  

What you’ll be doing
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be expected to have the following skill set.

• CA or CPA certification
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within a New Zealand based accounting function
• Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
• Financial modelling, analysis, and development of insights
• Solid stakeholder leadership capabilities
• Experience with a large FMIS such as Oracle, Technology One or SAP
• Exposure to departmental, crown or ministerial government accounting environments
• Excellent communication skills
