We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation on a contract basis. Based in Wellington, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with regular office presence encouraged to support the finance team and broader business.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead a team of three and take ownership of the finance function’s reporting requirements. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the detail while providing leadership, guidance, and commercial support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of three finance professionals
• Oversee financial accounting, management reporting, and month-end processes
• Manage reporting across the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
• Drive process improvement initiatives and enhance reporting capabilities
• Maintain strong financial controls and governance standards

About You

• Proven experience in a hands-on Finance Manager role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with the team
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is advantageous
