                              Financial Accountant

Join a New Zealand–owned business operating in the fuel sector, where finance plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day operations and commercial decision-making.

We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant who enjoys ownership, variety, and working close to the business.

The role
You’ll be responsible for keeping the numbers accurate, compliant, and insightful. Key duties include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations and integrity
• Preparing and filing GST returns
• Month-end journals and close activities
• Stock and inventory reporting
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with and overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• This role also involves Payroll using iPayroll – fortnightly

What we’re looking for

• Accounting background with relevant experience
• CA / CPA qualified or working towards (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Confident working across finance processes and stakeholders
• A proactive, reliable team player
