We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager – Strategy & Insights to join a well-established Auckland organisation on a contract basis. You will play a critical role in providing financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights that support key business decisions and transformation initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining strong financial capability with data analytics, business intelligence, and stakeholder partnering.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver rolling forecasts, scenario analysis and financial modelling to support decision-making.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, risks and opportunities, and provide meaningful recommendations.
• Develop and enhance business intelligence tools, reporting dashboards and data visualisation capabilities.
• Analyse operational, enrolment, attendance and funding data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Ensure financial and operational reporting is accurate, timely and supports effective decision-making.
• Monitor revenue drivers and funding trends, providing analysis to support planning and forecasting activities.
• Partner with operational teams to improve data quality, reporting accuracy and funding outcomes.
• Support transformation projects through business case development, investment analysis and strategic planning.
• Translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights for non-financial stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve processes and strengthen data management capabilities. 

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), commercial finance, management accounting, or financial analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and advanced financial modelling skills.
• Experience developing management reporting, dashboards and business insights for senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability using BI and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills and a highly analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
• Experience supporting business transformation, process improvement, or systems initiatives will be highly regarded.
