H2R are helping one of our Wellington CBD based corporate partners locate a new FINANCIAL CONTROLLER to run, manage and lead the finance function.

This position will report directly to the GM Finance, and join an already well run finance operation. We are looking for someone with a solid handle over management accounts, oversight and mentoring of the Assistant Accountant, and of the transactional (AP / AR / Credit Control) function.

Ideally we want both a safe pair of hands and also someone who is going to stand back and spot those efficiencies / bring smart ways of doing things from their previous experiences.

This organisation is currently experiencing record growth, hence the finance team is expanding too. The business has several different verticals all performing well and all in very interesting sectors. Looking after the financials for them would prove to be interesting also.

Role Duties: 

  • Oversight of accounts payable and receivable ensuring accuracy of debtor & creditor accounts.
  • Oversight of cash flow and forecasting
  • Ensure business group budgets are maintained and administered
  • Provide financial reporting in a timely manner and on a monthly basis to the Board in respect of both individual company and group activities as required.
  • Carry out financial investigations and analysis as required
  • Have oversight of the accounting system and deal effectively with any matters arising.
  • Provide effective management of the company’s inventory and assets, ensuring effective inventory control and overseeing company stock takes.
  • End to end accounting for smaller Group companies
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation preparation
  • Reporting meets business requirements
