About Crockers

Crockers is one of New Zealand’s best-known property groups, with more than 50 years’ experience and operations across Auckland, Wellington and Hawke’s Bay. As Crockers continues to grow, we have a rare opportunity for a down to earth HR generalist to step into an established People & Culture function and build on the great work already in place. You’ll join a supportive leadership team and genuinely good people, bringing your own experience and ideas while carrying forward the approachable, personal way of working that makes Crockers unique.

What you will do:
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll sit on the Senior Leadership Team and lead the People & Culture function. You’ll provide practical, trusted HR Generalist advice across the group and help leaders create a positive, safe and supportive place to work. You will also:

  • Partner with the CEO and leaders to shape people and organisational priorities, including initiatives that support the group’s growth strategy.
  • Advise on employment relations matters, including performance, investigations and cyclical activities.
  • Lead the group’s health, safety and wellbeing framework.
  • Support engagement and culture initiatives and follow through on employee feedback.
  • Align people policies and practices as the group grows, while respecting what makes each team distinctive.
  • Oversee remuneration, recruitment, people systems and key provider relationships.
  • Prepare people and ESG reporting for the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
  • Lead, coach and develop the People & Culture and Reception teams.

Who you will be:
You’ll be an approachable, warm and grounded HR leader who genuinely enjoys working with people. You bring strong HR generalist experience and strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation, along with experience working across Health and Safety. You’re comfortable moving between strategic and operational work: advising the SLT, reporting on People & Culture and safety priorities, and turning those priorities into practical every day action. You’ll be hands-on, visible and connected to what’s happening across the function and offices, and enjoy supporting a small, close-knit team.

What’s on offer
You’ll work alongside incredible people in a genuinely supportive team, sit on the Senior Leadership Team, and enjoy flexible hybrid working and free car parking. Ready to know more or apply today? Visit www.h2r.co.nz and quote reference 1259641.
